Measure front, middle, back and floor.
- Measure the opening at the narrowest fixed point.
- Repeat halfway in and at the back; walls and cabinets may not be square.
- Check baseboards, appliance handles, hinges and countertop overhangs.
- Measure the cart's full pull-out route with nearby doors and drawers open.
Use the smallest number, then leave practical side clearance for wheels, hands and imperfect walls.
